严绍璗，北京大学比较文学与比较文化研究所教授、博士生导师。先后担任北大比较文学研究所所长、日本京都大学人文科学研究所、日本佛教大学文学部、日本文部省国际日本文化研究中心客座教授等。著有《日本的中国学家》《中日古代文学关系史稿》《中国文学在日本》、《日本中国学史稿》等14种专著。发表论文、译文170余篇。这部“严绍璗文集”全面收录了严绍璗先生治学50多年各方面的成就，本册为“读书序录”，收入了严绍璗教授撰写的各种序跋，是反映其学术生涯的重要一手资料，从一个侧面展现了作者的学术思想和学术脉络。同时还收录了一些回忆早年往事和怀念同行友人的文章，从中可以领略作者的人文关怀。
